How do I verify my identity?

In supported countries, Quidax allows users to deposit and withdraw their local currencies. However, users who just want to use Quidax to receive cryptocurrencies, trade cryptocurrency pairs or store cryptocurrencies can do so on Quidax without verifying their accounts.

To send out cryptocurrency, you have to verify your identity.

To verify your identity, click on the 'more' icon you see at the bottom right of the page

On the next page that loads, you will see 'KYC' under Account and Settings, click on it

This will open to an identity verification page. Click on 'Basic' as shown in the image below.

As part of the verification, you will be required to upload either your NIN or the front and back copy of your government-issued identity card. This can be your: International Passport, Driver’s License, National Identity Card.

After clicking on Basic, the following page will come up.

Please click on the first option if you want to verify using NIN or click on the second option if you want to verify using your international passport or driver's license.

Once you have uploaded your identity, you will also be required to take a real time picture or selfie video ( look into the camera and turn your head in a circular motion twice).

Once you have filled the details required. click on Submit.

How long does it take for my identity to be verified?

Level 1 (Basic Level) is automatically approved, while approval of verification for Level 2 could take between 10 minutes and 2 hours.

NB* Level 1 verification is automatic only if the system is able to read the details on your ID card fully and your realtime selfie matches your ID.
